In order to comply with Law 19/2013 of December 9, on transparency, access to public information, and good governance, GEOGARAPEN, the Association for the Management of the Basque Coast Geopark, has developed this TRANSPARENCY PORTAL.

MANAGEMENT POLICY

2. Laws:

Regarding ​​procurement, GEOGARAPEN is subject to the Public Sector Contracts Law, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 3/2011 of November 14, in accordance with the provisions of Article 3.1.d.

In the area of ​​awarding contracts, since GEOGARAPEN has an awarding power that does not have the nature of a public administration, Chapter II corresponding to Title I of Book III of the Law on Public Sector Contracts will apply. Likewise, the Internal Procurement Instructions published in the Contractor's Profile will be taken into account.

In accordance with the provisions of article 20 of the Law on Public Sector Contracts, contracts signed by GEOGARAPEN, with the exception of those concluded with the public administration, are private contracts and are governed by Private Law in terms of their effects and expiration.

 There is no obligation to conduct external audits, and therefore, none are performed.

14. Remuneration, Positions and Maximum Responsibilities.

 The presidency of the GEOGARAPEN Association rotates every two years among the mayors of the municipalities of Deba, Mutriku and Zumaia.

Currently, the presidency is held by the Mayor of Mutriku. Neither the current president nor any of his predecessors have received any remuneration for the position or compensation upon leaving office.
